vsnautorec
is the ingest system which allows simultaneous recordings
from tapes, various satellite feeds and/or studios, using
automatic or manual mode. Regular recordings can be
programmed into a list to the exact hour and day from news
agencies.
vsnautorec director
controls an audio/video router and intelligently routes
the satellite video signal to one of the available
recording stations. Captured material, stored in servers
by categories, supports simultaneous multi-editing one
minute after the recording is started, with the advanced
feature of chunking technology.
vsnautorec capture
are dedicated ingest stations which encode video in the
following formats: DV25, MPEG-2 4:2:0, MPEG-2 4:2:2 at 50
Mbps and Windows Media 9.
vsnautorec terminal
allows the journalist to digitise recordings from his/her
PC accessing shared feeds and remotely controlling shared
VTR's connected to an A/V router through dedicated capture
stations. Users can control VTR's remotely without A/V
cabling in the newsroom. Moreover, the system manages
waiting lists for accessing VTRs which avoids overlaps
with scheduled and manual captures from feeds.
Everything is controlled from journalists PC's, with low
resolution capture previews using Windows Media 9
streaming. The system creates a low resolution copy of
ingested material in background for later browsing and
editing use, while preserving network bandwith for high
resolution editing. vsnautorec
covers all ingest needs with a user friendly environment,
that any non-technical personal can learn, avoiding the
need of dedicated technicians.
